The date appears divided by the helmets or positioned in the lower field near the arms. A lengthy circumferential Latin legend names all six co-ruling counts of Stolberg, encircling the entire design field. The engraving is rendered in the robust Germanic Renaissance style characteristic of late sixteenth-century Harz region coinage. |
