The composition is flanked by elaborate decorative elements, and the peripheral legend reads INNOCENTIVS XI PONT MAX, separated by pellet stops, encircling the design within a toothed or reeded border. |

| Popis rubu | The reverse presents a bold, centrally placed devotional inscription in five lines within an ornate Baroque cartouche formed by scrolling acanthus-leaf volutes and interlaced ribbon motifs at the sides, with further foliate flourishes at top and bottom. The Latin motto MELIVS EST DARE QVAM ACCIPERE, meaning 'It is better to give than to receive' (Acts 20:35), is rendered in large, well-spaced capital letters. The date 1684 appears at the foot of the inscription within the cartouche. The entire composition is enclosed by a milled or reeded outer border. |
