Reverse description A vignette at left centre presents three chital (spotted deer) in intaglio — a stag, a doe, and a fawn — rendered in fine engraved detail against a light ground. The design is framed by a purple guilloche border panel at left carrying the numeral ১ at top and bottom, while an oval watermark window occupies the right portion of the note; Bengali and Arabic numeral denomination inscriptions appear at lower right.

Bangladesh's 1 Taka notes have historically been issued by the Ministry of Finance rather than Bangladesh Bank, making them government obligations rather than central bank currency — a distinction that matters legally even if it's invisible to ordinary users. The P#6A is among the earlier Munich-era Giesecke & Devrient printings for the young republic, which gained independence in 1971 and was still building its monetary infrastructure through the late 1970s.

Watermark security on a note of this low denomination was not a given — many issuing authorities skipped it as a cost measure. That G&D applied it here reflects the contract specifications rather than any particular concern about forgery at the 1 Taka level.
