The shield is flanked by palm fronds to the left and a bunch of cinchona branches to the right, the whole supported by a laurel wreath knotted at the base. The circular legend reads BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERU, with the fineness designation 9 DECIMOS FINO and the date 1976 arranged around the border. |
