| Description du revers | The reverse features a bold depiction of the Obelisk of Quinua (Pampa de Ayacucho monument) at center, rising from a stepped stone base set upon a rocky outcrop, commemorating the decisive 1824 battle that secured South American independence. To the left of the obelisk appears the denomination legend UN and to the right SOL DE ORO in incuse block lettering. The mint mark M appears below the central device.
