Reverse description Central field displays a crossed sword and episcopal key in saltire, the heraldic symbols of the Bishopric of Dorpat, accompanied by a group of three pellets or dots arranged above the crossed emblems. The devices are struck in low relief consistent with hammered technique. A circular Latin legend in uncial script, reading mON : NO : TARPATEN, surrounds the central design, abbreviating Moneta Nova Darpatensis. The legend is enclosed within a beaded or plain border, consistent with the obverse treatment.
