The bank name and legal tender clause appear across the upper portion of the note.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Central vignette comprises an intaglio rendering of the Tugu Peringatan Negara (National Monument) in Kuala Lumpur, with bronze figures raising the Malaysian flag atop a stone plinth, flanked by trees and the memorial arcade below. A circular guilloche rosette bearing a deer motif occupies the upper left, while floral vignettes — including hibiscus blooms in pink and blue — are placed at lower right. The denomination numeral "1" appears at lower left, with "$1" in a guilloche cartouche at upper right, and the printer's imprint at bottom left.
