| Mô tả mặt trước | The national arms of the Sultanate of Oman occupy the central field, depicting the traditional khanjar dagger superimposed over two crossed swords, all rendered in fine relief. Flanking the arms at lower left and lower right are two six-pointed stars. The denomination 'ONE RIAL' appears in Latin script to the left of the arms, with the Arabic equivalent 'ريال واحد' to the right. A bilingual circular legend surrounds the central device: the Arabic inscription 'البنك المركزي العماني - سلطنة عمان' runs along the upper arc, while 'SULTANATE OF OMAN' and 'CENTRAL BANK OF OMAN' are inscribed in Latin characters along the lower arc. |

| Thông tin bổ sung |
Issued to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the United Nations, this coin was part of a coordinated global series in which dozens of member states released commemorative silver pieces simultaneously in 1995. Oman's participation reflected Sultan Qaboos's consistent diplomatic posture — the sultanate joined the UN in 1971, the same year Qaboos consolidated power following the palace coup against his father Said bin Taimur.
The .925 silver specification and 28.28g weight place it squarely within the Crown-sized commemorative format adopted by the Royal Mint and widely licensed to issuing authorities worldwide during the 1990s boom in thematic silver commemoratives.
