| Description de l’avers | Central field displays a large quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of Manderscheid, surmounted by an ornate crested helm with elaborate mantling extending to either side. The quartered arms incorporate multiple dynastic and ecclesiastical devices rendered in fine relief. A circular beaded inner border frames the composition, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery. The overall design is characteristic of late sixteenth-century German Reichsthaler heraldic die-work, with strong, bold relief typical of hammered coinage of the period. |

| Description du revers | Crowned bust of Emperor Maximilian II facing right, draped and armored, holding an imperial scepter in his right hand and an orb in his left, with the date divided to either side of the effigy. The imperial legend is distributed around the periphery within a beaded border, identifying the emperor by name and title. The portraiture is rendered in the Germanic Reichsthaler convention of the period, with attention to regalia and facial detail. Star-shaped separators punctuate the legend throughout. |
