正面描述 The obverse is dominated by a large central guilloche rosette at left, with a fine geometric underprint across the field. At right, the arms of Cyprus appear within an ornate circular frame. The denomination is rendered bilingually in Greek (ΜΙΑ ΛΙΡΑ) and Turkish (BIR LIRA) at centre, with the issuing authority's name in both languages across the top. A signature and title appear at lower left, with serial number and a small map of Cyprus at lower right.

背面描述 The reverse presents an intaglio vignette combining two ancient monuments of Cyprus: at left, the multi-arched Roman aqueduct near Larnaca, and at right, a row of standing marble columns from the ruins of Salamis. The arms of Cyprus appear centrally within a decorative cartouche, and the design is framed by a fine guilloche border across the top and sides. The denomination ONE POUND is inscribed at lower left.

备注

Bradbury Wilkinson printed the entire P#43 run, a long series spanning over a decade through several signature changes. The 1972 reissue under Peperas and the subsequent 1976 transition to Hadjigeorghiou reflect routine administrative turnover at the Central Bank rather than any monetary crisis — Cyprus was still operating under the sterling-linked pound before the 1972 shift to an independent peg and well before the Turkish invasion of 1974 fractured the island's economy.

Notes dated after July 1974 circulated in a fundamentally different political reality, with the northern third of the island under Turkish military control and the Central Bank operating solely from Nicosia's southern sector.
