Reverse description The reverse presents an intaglio vignette combining two ancient monuments of Cyprus: at left, the multi-arched Roman aqueduct near Larnaca, and at right, a row of standing marble columns from the ruins of Salamis. The arms of Cyprus appear centrally within a decorative cartouche, and the design is framed by a fine guilloche border across the top and sides. The denomination ONE POUND is inscribed at lower left.
