| Opis awersu | The left portion of the obverse carries an intaglio-printed oval vignette of Lady Hazel Lavery, draped in a shawl, serving as the allegorical personification of Ireland, set against a fine guilloche underprint in green and yellow tones. The bilingual issuer title — "Currency Commission Ireland" and "Coimisiún Airgid Reatha Éire" — appears in a dark banner across the top, with denomination numerals in the four corners and a large sterling pound symbol in guilloche work at the lower centre.
