Beschrijving keerzijde	A front-facing bust portrait of Máximo Gómez occupies the central field, depicting the Cuban independence hero with a bald head, round spectacles, a prominent moustache, and a full beard, rendered in fine relief against a smooth field. The legend MAXIMO GOMEZ arcs along the upper periphery in bold capitals. The date 1977 and a small mint mark appear to the left of the portrait. Two five-pointed stars flank the field at left and right. The inscription CARGA AL MACHETE curves along the lower periphery, referencing the famous cavalry charge tactic associated with Gómez during the wars of Cuban independence.
