A finely engraved vignette of the bank building occupies the left portion, surrounded by elaborate scrollwork and guilloche borders. At centre, ornate Victorian lettering spells out the bank name, flanked by a shield-shaped guilloche underprint and a standing figure of a crowned king to the right, with the denomination 'UN PESO' and promise text 'A LA VISTA EN EFECTIVO AL PORTADOR' inscribed across the lower register; three manuscript signatures appear below for the Interventor del Gobierno, Consejero, and Gerente. |

| Descripción del reverso | Printed entirely in red on cream paper, the reverse centres on a large circular guilloche medallion enclosing the Mexican national arms — an eagle perched on a cactus with a serpent in its beak — encircled by the legend 'BANCO DE SAN LUIS POTOSI'. Symmetrical ornamental rosette vignettes flank the central medallion on both sides, with the denomination numeral '1' incorporated into each. The inscription 'SOCIEDAD ANONIMA' appears in a cartouche at the base, with the printer's imprint below; a circular 'Secretaría de Hacienda' control stamp is applied in black at the upper left. |
