正面描述 The obverse carries the heading REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS at top, with EL BANCO DE HONDURAS in large lettering across the upper register and the promise PAGARA AL PORTADOR EN MONEDA EFECTIVA below. A central guilloche vignette displays the numeral 1 and the denomination UN PESO within an ornate lathe-work frame, flanked on the right by a large intaglio vignette of a longhorn bull's head in three-quarter view. The date TEGUCIGALPA, 27 de Mayo de 1922 appears to the right, with SERIE 1 noted at upper corners and serial number printed twice in the lower register alongside three manuscript signature lines.

背面描述 The reverse is printed in dark green on plain paper, centered on the Honduran national coat of arms within an oval cartouche surrounded by intricate guilloche engine-turning. The bank title BANCO DE HONDURAS arcs above and HONDURAS below the central oval, with the numeral 1 and UN PESO repeated in each of the four corner medallions. At top left, a manuscript authorization reads No followed by the serial number and Autorizada su circulacion por acuerdo de 13 de Julio de 1925. 备注

The Banco de Honduras was a private commercial bank granted note-issuing authority, not a central bank — Honduras wouldn't establish a central bank until the Banco Central de Honduras was founded in 1950. ABNC printed several series for the institution over the years, and their engraved plates were typically retained and sometimes reworked for successor issues, meaning the underlying geometry of this note's design may predate 1922 by a decade or more.

P#29 is scarce in any grade. The bank's circulation footprint was limited to a country with a small monetized economy heavily dollarized by United Fruit Company payroll practices.
