Obverse description	The obverse carries the heading REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS at top, with EL BANCO DE HONDURAS in large lettering across the upper register and the promise PAGARA AL PORTADOR EN MONEDA EFECTIVA below. A central guilloche vignette displays the numeral 1 and the denomination UN PESO within an ornate lathe-work frame, flanked on the right by a large intaglio vignette of a longhorn bull's head in three-quarter view. The date TEGUCIGALPA, 27 de Mayo de 1922 appears to the right, with SERIE 1 noted at upper corners and serial number printed twice in the lower register alongside three manuscript signature lines.
