Nachá is a tiny municipality in the comarca of Noguera, Lleida, Catalonia — one of hundreds of small Spanish localities that issued their own emergency fractional currency during the Civil War after the hoarding of coins and Republic-issued coinage created an acute shortage of small change from mid-1936 onward.
