Nachá is a tiny municipality in the comarca of Noguera, Lleida, Catalonia — one of hundreds of small Spanish localities that issued their own emergency fractional currency during the Civil War after the hoarding of coins and Republic-issued coinage created an acute shortage of small change from mid-1936 onward. The Gari Monserra catalogue documents thousands of these ayuntamiento emissions, many of which survive in single-digit quantities. The "C" suffix in the Gari reference typically denotes a specific typographic or stamp variant within the same denomination series.

Authentication hinges almost entirely on the official stamp, which is the only security feature distinguishing a valid emission from a blank slip of paper.
