Beschrijving voorzijde Bare-headed bust of Prince Nikola I in right profile, depicting the ruler in civilian dress with a high collar, rendered in fine relief. A Cyrillic legend encircles the effigy along the rim, reading from the lower left upward and around to the lower right. The engraver's initials SS appear at the base of the truncation. The overall portrait style is naturalistic, consistent with late 19th- to early 20th-century European medallic engraving.
Schrift voorzijde Cyrillic, Latin

Beschrijving keerzijde The crowned and mantled coat of arms of Montenegro occupies the central field, featuring a double-headed eagle bearing a shield on its breast, surmounted by a royal crown with flowing mantle tied at the sides. The arms are flanked by oak branches on the left and olive branches on the right, symbolizing strength and peace. The denomination '1 ПЕРПЕР' appears in a rectangular cartouche at the base of the design, with the date '1909' struck below in the exergue. A Cyrillic legend arcs along the upper rim identifying the issuing state.
