| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Prince Nikola I in right profile, depicting the ruler in civilian dress with a high collar, rendered in fine relief. A Cyrillic legend encircles the effigy along the rim, reading from the lower left upward and around to the lower right. The engraver's initials SS appear at the base of the truncation. The overall portrait style is naturalistic, consistent with late 19th- to early 20th-century European medallic engraving. |
