| Beschrijving keerzijde | A voided long cross extending to the coin's beaded border divides the field into four quarters, with crescent-shaped tips terminating each arm of the cross. An additional crescent motif appears in the first quarter. The intervening quadrants contain a divided Latin legend recording the moneyer's name and mint of production. The execution is characteristic of mid-11th century Danish hammered silver pennings, with the cross design deriving from Anglo-Saxon numismatic prototypes then widely employed across Scandinavia. |
