Beschrijving voorzijde	The national coat of arms of Mauritania occupies the central field, depicting a crescent and five-pointed star surmounted by a palm frond to the left and an unidentified branch to the right, all enclosed within a circular inner border. The Gregorian year '1973' appears at either side of the lower portion of the arms, with the numeral '1' below, and the denomination legend 'OUGUIYA' inscribed beneath. The circular legend 'BANQUE CENTRALE DE MAURITANIE' surrounds the entire design along the outer rim.
