| Obverse description | Stylized Sinhala script legend occupying the entire field, rendered in bold raised relief against a plain ground. The central device features a traditional lamp or pot symbol (kalasha) with flanking curved elements above, characteristic of medieval Sri Lankan coinage. Vertical strokes of the script descend through the lower field, with pellets arranged to the right. The coin is enclosed by a beaded border running along the irregular periphery, consistent with the hammered fabric of the Dambadeniya period. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is entirely occupied by a two-line Nagari inscription reading 'Sri Vijayabahu', the royal legend of King Vijayabahu IV of the Dambadeniya Kingdom. The characters are boldly struck in raised relief, filling the field in a dense arrangement typical of medieval South Asian copper coinage. A partial beaded border encircles the inscription along the irregular edge. The script is executed in the northern Nagari style, consistent with the epigraphic conventions of 13th-century Sri Lankan royal issues. |
