正面描述 Full-length frontal figure of Saint Ambrose, patron saint of Milan, depicted in episcopal vestments including a mitre and cope adorned with small crosses, raising his right hand in benediction and holding a crozier in his left hand. The saint stands between two stylised Milanese towers or city gates in the lower field, rendered in a Romanesque manner characteristic of early 14th-century Italian hammered coinage. A beaded inner border frames the design, with the circular legend in Gothic uncial lettering running along the periphery. The overall composition reflects the Venetian grosso tradition adapted to Milanese civic and religious iconography.

背面描述 Two standing haloed figures facing one another in full-length frontal pose, identified by the surrounding legend as Saints Gervasius and Protasius, the co-patron martyrs of Milan. Between the two saints, in the central field, appears the vertical inscription naming Henry VII as imperial lord, disposed in two columns. Both figures are draped in long robes, each raising a hand in blessing and holding a palm frond or sceptre, executed in the flat, hieratic style typical of northern Italian hammered silver of the early 14th century. A beaded inner border encircles the composition, with the peripheral legend in Gothic uncial script.
