| Descrizione del rovescio | Two standing haloed figures facing one another in full-length frontal pose, identified by the surrounding legend as Saints Gervasius and Protasius, the co-patron martyrs of Milan. Between the two saints, in the central field, appears the vertical inscription naming Henry VII as imperial lord, disposed in two columns. Both figures are draped in long robes, each raising a hand in blessing and holding a palm frond or sceptre, executed in the flat, hieratic style typical of northern Italian hammered silver of the early 14th century. A beaded inner border encircles the composition, with the peripheral legend in Gothic uncial script. |
