| Descrizione del dritto | Central field features an ornate crowned Gothic monogram of Mary of Burgundy, formed by interlaced letters within a cusped quatrefoil frame rendered in relief. The monogram is surmounted by a elaborate crown with fleur-de-lis finials, all executed in the late Gothic hammered style characteristic of Burgundian Low Countries coinage. A beaded inner circle separates the central device from the surrounding circumferential legend. The peripheral legend in uncial Latin lettering reads MARIA DVCISSA BG BRAB Z LI, identifying the issuer as Marie, Duchess of Burgundy, Brabant and Limburg, punctuated by double diamond stops. The overall flan is irregular in shape, typical of hand-hammered billon coinage of the period. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central field displays a floriated cross pattée with elaborately decorated arms, each terminating in foliate or lion-headed embellishments consistent with Brabantine heraldic tradition. In the four quarters formed by the cross arms, rampant lions are depicted in high relief, referencing the arms of Brabant and Limburg. A beaded inner circle borders the central composition, separating it from the outer legend. The circumferential legend in uncial Latin, punctuated by double diamond stops, reads BENEDIC AIA MEA DNO followed by the mint year, a Psalm-derived invocation meaning 'Bless the Lord, O my soul.' The entire reverse is struck on an irregular billon flan with characteristic weakness at the edges due to the hammering process. |
