Below the figure, a pointed shield bearing the arms of Erbach is prominently displayed in the lower field. The design is executed in the Gothic style typical of Rhenish goldgulden of the early fifteenth century, with a beaded inner circle framing the central device. The trilobe is rendered in relief with clean, precise lines characteristic of hammered Rhenish coinage of the period. A Latin legend in Gothic script encircles the central device within a beaded border, completing the reverse design. |
