| Obverse description | Full-length frontal figure of the archbishop in pontifical vestments, holding a crozier in his left hand and raising his right hand in the gesture of benediction. Below the figure, a pointed shield bearing the arms of Erbach is prominently displayed in the lower field. The design is executed in the Gothic style typical of Rhenish goldgulden of the early fifteenth century, with a beaded inner circle framing the central device. A Latin legend in Gothic script runs around the periphery within a beaded border. |

| Reverse description | A pointed shield bearing the arms of Mainz — the distinctive six-spoked wheel — is set within a cusped trilobe or trefoil frame composed of three pointed Gothic arches, centrally placed in the field. The trilobe is rendered in relief with clean, precise lines characteristic of hammered Rhenish coinage of the period. A Latin legend in Gothic script encircles the central device within a beaded border, completing the reverse design. |
