The shield is surrounded by a beaded inner circle, with the archbishop's name rendered in Gothic uncial lettering forming the outer circumferential legend. The overall design follows the Rhenish Goldgulden typology standard for the mid-fifteenth century, with bold, deeply struck relief typical of hammered coinage of the period. |
