1 Follaro - Anonymous

Dulcigno — modern Ulcinj in Montenegro — operated as a semi-autonomous commune under loose Venetian and later Balkan suzerainty throughout the fourteenth century, producing small fractional bronzes that circulated almost exclusively within the town and its immediate hinterland. The anonymous attribution reflects genuine uncertainty about municipal authority during a period when the city changed hands repeatedly between Serbian despots and coastal Adriatic powers.

Dobrinić's corpus remains the only serious systematic treatment of this material. Specimens are rarely offered outside regional Balkan collections.
