| Description de l’avers | Draped bust of Duke Georg III of Brieg facing right, wearing a crown and an elaborately worked lace collar with armour visible at the shoulder, his long curled hair falling to the neck in the Baroque fashion. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the facial features and costume. A beaded inner circle separates the portrait from the peripheral Latin legend. The circumscription reads D.G. GEORGIUS. DUX. SILESIÆ. LIGNIC. ET. BREGEN., identifying the duke by the grace of God as ruler of Silesia, Liegnitz, and Brieg. |

| Description du revers | Elaborate quartered coat of arms of the Piast dukes of Liegnitz-Brieg displayed at centre, surmounted by a ducal crown and flanked by two heraldic supporters — an eagle to the left and a lion to the right. The shield is richly mantled with ornate Baroque strapwork and displays the dynastic quarterings associated with Silesian Piast heraldry. The date AN. 1660 appears in the upper field flanking a crowned orb, while the pious motto legend SORS MEA A - DOMINO AN. encircles the entire composition within a beaded border, meaning 'My fate is from the Lord.' |
