| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features the Hamburg city arms — a white castle with three towers set within an ornate cartouche with scrollwork surround. The engraver's initials I·H·L appear below the shield in the lower field. A circular legend surrounds the design, reading MONETA AVREA CIVITATIS HAMBVRGENS, referencing the gold coinage of the city of Hamburg. The overall composition is rendered in a refined Baroque style characteristic of mid-eighteenth-century German municipal coinage. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A boldly struck crowned double-headed imperial eagle dominates the central field, its wings spread and its breast bearing a heraldic shield, holding a sceptre and orb in its talons — the emblems of Holy Roman Imperial authority under Franz I. An imperial crown surmounts the two heads. The surrounding legend, divided by the date 1748 in the lower exergue area, reads FRANCISCVS D G ROM IMP SEMP AVGVST, citing the full imperial titulature of Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor. The design follows the established conventions of Habsburg imperial coinage of the period. |
