| Descrizione del rovescio | A boldly struck crowned double-headed imperial eagle dominates the central field, its wings spread and its breast bearing a heraldic shield, holding a sceptre and orb in its talons — the emblems of Holy Roman Imperial authority under Franz I. An imperial crown surmounts the two heads. The surrounding legend, divided by the date 1748 in the lower exergue area, reads FRANCISCVS D G ROM IMP SEMP AVGVST, citing the full imperial titulature of Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor. The design follows the established conventions of Habsburg imperial coinage of the period. |
