| Obverse description | Central field features the civic arms of Stralsund — three interlaced triangles (the so-called 'Stralsund triangle' device) — set within a wreath of laurel branches, with the date divided across the central device. A raised inner beaded border separates the central design from the outer circular legend. The peripheral legend reads AVREVS NOVVS STRALSVNDEN HIH with the year 1666, running clockwise in Roman capitals around the circumference of the coin. |
