Reverse description Central numeral 3, denoting the denomination of three Pfennig, set within an ornate circular wreath or ring formed by a decorative band. Above the ring, an elaborate baroque cartouche features a floriated cross with scrolling foliage emerging from either side, all rendered in the vigorous but somewhat crude style typical of small hammered issues of the late seventeenth century. The composition fills the flan with no peripheral legend, the entire design serving as a bold denomination marker.
