Mô tả mặt trước Bare-headed effigy of King Constantine II facing left, rendered in a restrained modern style. The engraver's signature B. ΦΑΛΗΡΕΑΣ (V. Phalireas) appears in small letters below the truncation. The circular Greek legend naming the king as King of the Hellenes runs along the rim, with the date flanked by dots positioned in the lower exergual area.

Thông tin bổ sung

Greece minted this drachma under the military junta that seized power in April 1967, meaning the majority of this date range was produced under a regime that had suspended the constitution and ruled by decree. Constantine II himself attempted a counter-coup against the colonels in December 1967; it failed within days, and he fled to Rome. Coins bearing his name continued to be struck for two more years after his exile, a bureaucratic inertia that makes the later dates a quiet footnote to one of the more embarrassing episodes in modern Greek royal history.
