| Obverse description | Stylized royal effigy of King Rudrasena III facing right, executed in the debased Indo-Greek tradition characteristic of late Western Satrap coinage. A degraded Greek legend occupies the obverse field before the bust, largely illegible owing to the progressive stylization of letterforms through successive reigns. The Saka Era regnal date SE 287, inscribed in Brahmi numerals, appears behind the head. The diademed portrait retains vestiges of its Hellenistic prototypes, though rendered in a distinctly regional and increasingly schematic manner consistent with the terminal phase of the dynasty. |
