| 裏面の説明 | A fire altar with the bust or head of Ahura Mazda rendered in profile to the right occupies the center of the coin, directly imitating the Sasanian and post-Sasanian Bukharan drachm reverse type. Flanking the altar on both sides stand two mobed (Zoroastrian priestly attendant) figures, each facing inward toward the altar in the traditional manner. The overall composition faithfully reproduces the pagan Zoroastrian reverse iconography inherited through the Bukharan monetary tradition, despite the coin's Abbasid Islamic issuing authority. |
