The outer field, rendered in a frosted finish contrasting with the polished inner circle, displays an engraved background of overlapping national flags — including the Stars and Stripes and the Canadian Maple Leaf flag — evoking the Allied nations of the Second World War. The lower arc of the coin bears the inscriptions .999 FINE COPPER · 5 TROY OUNCES and ONE DOLLAR in bold raised lettering. |

The word LIBERTY is inscribed in large spaced capital letters along the upper right arc of the coin. To the left of the central device, a small five-pointed star appears above the commemorative dates 1945 and 2025, separated by a horizontal rule, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Concentric arc lines frame the composition in the left field.
