Surrounding the inner beaded border, the legend THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE arcs along the upper portion, while REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA appears along the lower portion. | Описание реверса | The reverse depicts a high-relief sculptural rendering of the iconic flag-raising at Iwo Jima, showing a group of soldiers straining in unison to erect a pole bearing the American flag, set upon rocky terrain in the lower central field. The word LIBERTY is inscribed in large spaced capital letters along the upper right arc of the coin. To the left of the central device, a small five-pointed star appears above the commemorative dates 1945 and 2025, separated by a horizontal rule, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
