The design features a continuous raised outer rim following the contour of the flan, with a recessed inner channel running parallel to it. Six nail holes, rendered as raised rectangular ovals, are distributed symmetrically along each arm of the horseshoe, three per side, conveying a realistic and tactile equestrian authenticity. The flat matte surface of the field enhances the sculptural quality of the relief work. |
