The legend ONE DOLLAR runs along the left arm of the horseshoe in an upward orientation, while REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the right arm, both legends struck in raised capital letters against a matte field. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a highly stylized, three-dimensional representation of a traditional iron horseshoe viewed from the front, faithfully replicating the form of the coin's horseshoe shape. The design features a continuous raised outer rim following the contour of the flan, with a recessed inner channel running parallel to it. Six nail holes, rendered as raised rectangular ovals, are distributed symmetrically along each arm of the horseshoe, three per side, conveying a realistic and tactile equestrian authenticity.
