| Descrizione del dritto | The sixth and final definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, occupies the centre of the obverse, depicting a right-facing draped bust of the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl drop earring and pearl necklace. The legend ELIZABETH II flanks the upper field to the left, with AUSTRALIA 2020 arching to the right. The denomination 1 DOLLAR appears in the lower field, separated from the portrait by two raised dots on either side. The engraver's initials JC are present at the lower left of the truncation. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse features a coloured pad-printed design commemorating the centenary of Qantas and the merger of Australian Airlines with Qantas. At the centre, two aircraft are depicted in dynamic diagonal composition — a vintage biplane and a modern jet — evoking the airline's evolution over 100 years. A stylised arc rendered in red, white, and dark blue encircles the central motif, echoing the livery colours of Australian Airlines. The iconic Qantas flying kangaroo roundel appears in the lower right field within a circular emblem. The upper legend reads AUSTRALIAN AIRLINES MERGER, while THE AUSTRALIAN AIRLINE and the date range 1920 – 2020 are inscribed across the aircraft fuselage.
