| 表面の説明 | The obverse presents an annular (holed) field entirely devoid of a central effigy, the large circular perforation forming the dominant design element. Surrounding the hole, an undulating serpentine or scalloped raised border frames the inner edge of the annular field. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA arcs around the upper and lateral portions of the annular field in bold serif capitals, while the date 1852 appears at the base. A beaded border runs along the outer rim, separated from the legend by a plain raised band. |

| 裏面の説明 | The reverse likewise features an annular design centered on a large circular perforation. The denomination DOLLAR is inscribed in prominent serif capitals arcing across the upper portion of the annular field. Below, an open laurel or olive wreath, with sprays extending from the lower sides toward the base and tied at the bottom with a ribbon bow, frames the inner edge of the hole. A beaded border encircles the outer rim, consistent with the obverse treatment, lending the piece a unified and elegant pattern aesthetic. |
