A beaded border runs along the outer rim, separated from the legend by a plain raised band. |

The denomination DOLLAR is inscribed in prominent serif capitals arcing across the upper portion of the annular field. Below, an open laurel or olive wreath, with sprays extending from the lower sides toward the base and tied at the bottom with a ribbon bow, frames the inner edge of the hole.
