| 背面描述 | The reverse mirrors the multi-cartouche layout of the obverse, with all inscriptions in Arabic Naskh calligraphy and no figurative elements. A central circular cartouche prominently displays the denomination 'Dinar' (دينار) in bold relief. Two flanking oval cartouches bear the regnal year in Hijri numerals: the right cartouche reads '1334' (سنه ١٣٣٤) and the left cartouche reads '8' (سنه ٨), denoting year 8 of Husayn's reign. The upper cartouche carries the mint name 'Struck in the Honored Mecca' (ضرب بمكة المكرمة), while the lower cartouche bears the inscription 'Capital of the Arabic Government' (عاصمة الحكومة العربية). The composition is framed by a raised rim with a reeded edge visible at the periphery. |

The Hejaz dinar of 1923 was issued under Husayn ibn Ali at a moment when he was consolidating his position as King of the Hejaz and positioning himself as a pan-Arab leader following the collapse of Ottoman rule. The "Renaissance of Arab Lands" inscription reflected his ambition to lead a unified Arab political order — an ambition that collapsed entirely when Ibn Saud's Ikhwan forces swept through the Hejaz between 1924 and 1925, ending the Hashemite kingdom there permanently.
Husayn abdicated in October 1924. The dinar series effectively died with the kingdom, making the entire gold issue short-lived and produced in small quantities.
