| Opis awersu | The obverse features an elaborate multi-cartouche design entirely in Arabic script, with no figurative imagery, consistent with Islamic numismatic tradition. A central circular cartouche contains the word 'Hashimi' (هاشمي), identifying the ruling dynasty, enclosed within an ornate raised border. Four surrounding oval cartouches arranged in a cruciform pattern bear the components of the royal titulature of Husayn bin Ali: his name and lineage appear in the upper cartouches, while the flanking cartouches read 'His servant and son of His servant' (عبده وابن عبده). The lower field carries the celebrated honorific legend 'Renaissance of Arab Lands' (الناهض بالبلاد العربية) in flowing Naskh calligraphy. The entire design is executed in bold relief against a flat field, with an engrailed inner border framing the composition. |
