| Obverse description | Central field features a raised circular cartouche bearing the denomination numeral '١' (1) above the word 'دينار' (Dinar) in Arabic script. The legend 'الجمهورية العراقية' (Republic of Iraq) curves along the upper periphery in stylized Arabic calligraphy, while the commemorative inscription 'أحياء بابل أثريا واجب وطني و قومي و انساني' (The archaeological revival of Babylon is a national, pan-Arab and humanitarian duty) extends across the lower field. The entire design is contained within the ten-sided flan, with a reeded border running along the outer edge. |
