At 0.04 grams, this is among the smallest silver coins ever produced for circulation — a denomination so fractional it existed largely as a unit of account rather than a coin anyone handled with ease. Tribhuvan had just taken the throne in 1911 as a child of five, with effective power held entirely by the Rana prime ministerial dynasty. The coin reflects the Rana-controlled monetary apparatus, not royal initiative.
