| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bearing Devanagari script characters arranged in a cruciform pattern around a central floral or trident device, characteristic of the small dam denomination of the Nepalese Mohar coinage series. The legends in Devanagari script identify the regnal authority of King Tribhuvan Bir Bikram. At 0.04 grams, this is among the smallest silver coins ever produced for circulation — a denomination so fractional it existed largely as a unit of account rather than a coin anyone handled with ease. Tribhuvan had just taken the throne in 1911 as a child of five, with effective power held entirely by the Rana prime ministerial dynasty. The coin reflects the Rana-controlled monetary apparatus, not royal initiative.
